On Saturday March 20th fifteen members from IAFF locals 2663 and 3198 participated in the 2010 Philadelphia Stairclimb. The Fight For Air Climb is an event benefiting the American Lung Association held at the 50 story Bell Atlantic Tower building. Our members were able to take second and fourth place in the KD Financial First Responders Challenge. During this challenge the members raced to the top of the building in ordinary workout clothes. Our members then climbed a second time wearing their turnout gear with some also wearing an SCBA. The members trained for several months to prepare themselves for this event and their hard work and dedication showed. In addition to climbing the Cherry Hill Fire Department team also raised over $4,000 to date for the American Lung Association. Also participating on the Cherry Hill Fire Department team were two Cherry Hill Fire Department EMTs from local 3249 and four wives. Congratulations and good job to all of those who participated.
