Engine 22 "ROLLIN' ON KINGS"

Engine 22

Engine 22 was established on December 9, 2002. Like all companies in Cherry Hill, Engine 22 works three platoons, twenty four hours a day, seven days a week. Each platoon is staffed by one Lieutenant or Captain and four fire fighters. Engine 22, along with Engine 52 and Tower Ladder 24 make up the West Battalion of Cherry Hill. The new company of Engine 22 since establishment was temporarily housed at Tower Ladder 24's quarters on West Route 70.   They patiently waited to move into a new fire station at North Kings Highway and Chelton Parkway.   The building project took three and a half years from acquisition phase to completion.   They now occupy the brand new fire station and are proud to have their own quarters to call home.

Engine 22's response local consists of single family dwellings, mid-rise and high rise buildings, nursing facilities, schools and medical facilities, places of worship, restaurants, strip stores and several commercial occupancies along State Highway Route 70. Some major landmarks to Cherry Hill covered by Engine 22 are Ponzio's Dinner, Ellisberg Shopping Center, Cherry Hill Library, Barclay Towers Apartments and Towers of Windsor.   Engine 22 new response local will also include parts of Mt. Laurel and Maple Shade for major incidents.
